Kamp Kon

Kamp Kon, being held from 3-5 December, 2004 is a fun weekend event for people to get together and talk SF and Fantasy in a relaxed camp setting.

The venue is Brookfield Scout Camp in Wainuiomata on the outskirts of Wellington.

The aim is to run events not normally possible at con, such as film-making and role-playing.

Come along to

Spend a weekend with fans, doing the things fans love to do. Or just to relax and chill out before the Christmas rush.

Kamp Kon will be a relaxed gathering allowing people to spend more time doing Science Fiction and Fantasy based projects that are not as easily achieved during a National convention. This could include film-making, script-writing or generally relaxing.

Events may include:

Live roleplaying Jigsaw puzzles
Board gaming Scriptwriting
Chocolate-making Video-making
A potluck dinner (Friday night) Car Wars
DVD/Video Watching

Cost $50.00
The cost includes a bed for the weekend, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, brunch on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday.

You will need to bring:

Your own bedding and towel A plate for the potluck on Friday
Eating equipment Money for takeaways for Saturday night (or food to feed yourself)
Drinks (if you want something other than Raro) We also invite you to bring along any jigsaw puzzles and board games
